Different than other versions, which were great... - Hairspray Reviews

I think this movie is very different than a John Waters film. I love his stuff..but this movie isn't about what he tries to do. The fact that his basic story inspired a musical that could eventually inspire a movie musical that is almost as inoocent and fun as "Singin' in The Rain" is a marvel. And I plan to see it again, and again.
